President Obama just announced his plan to help homeowners, the “Homeowner Affordability and Stability Plan.” … The help to homeowners comes mostly in encouraging lenders to refinance mortgages with lower rates. This makes good sense to me.

The House passed the ARRA (so-called stimulus bill) today. No republicans would vote yes on the bill. I am guessing that the republican representatives are looking forward to their next political run for Congress, and planning to run against the bill.
We are still waiting for the final ARRA bill to be agreed upon, and at last passed … In the meantime the Washington Center for Real Estate Research (WA State University) has published the 4th quarter report Housing Market Snapshot just today.
Those of us who live in Northwest Washington woke up to snow this morning, and it hasn’t stopped snowing yet. We are expecting from 4 to 8 inches. … Our office was also buzzing about the $838 billion recovery/stimulus bill that was just passed by the Senate. … I listened to Tim Geithner this morning …
